Call for Papers

The 11th International Symposium on Brain and Cognitive Science (ISBCS) will be held in person at Bahçeşehir University, İstanbul on June 1, 2025.

We invite submissions from all the fields which involve the common goal of cognitive science research: understanding the nature of the human mind and other minds including artificial minds. All submissions related to disciplines comprising the field of Cognitive Science will be considered, including Neuroscience, Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, Computer Science, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Education.

Registration will be free but mandatory for all attendees. If you plan to attend the symposium, please register as soon as possible to assist the organizers in planning.

Information for Authors

Thank you for considering ISBCS 2025 for submitting your work.

Abstracts: Abstracts should be up to 500 words and include a title and clear information about the motivation, methods, and results of the study. The abstract submission is mandatory. In addition to the abstracts, you can also submit papers in pdf format. You can submit previously accepted or published papers for presentation. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference as posters. The papers will not appear in a printed proceedings volume, and no copyright will be claimed.

There are two types of submissions:

  • Summaries of already published work related to cognitive science. These will not be peer-reviewed, but the abstracts will be used to determine the program. Please make sure you reference the original paper on which the submission is based. We would like to encourage the submission of these papers to disseminate them widely in the cognitive science community.
  • Original, unpublished work and ongoing research including pilot studies, computational modeling, and preliminary experiments. Since we do not claim copyright, you are free to re-submit it elsewhere after the symposium. These are limited to 4 pages, double columns.
  • At most two submissions by the first author will be allowed. Submissions should adhere to the criteria mentioned above. By submitting a paper, you agree that one of the authors will join the symposium to present the paper, if it is accepted. The registration will be free of charge. The submission language is English. All submissions are evaluated by peer reviewers who make recommendations to the Program Committee. The final decision of acceptance is made by the Program Co-Chairs.

Submission and reviewing are handled via https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ISBCS2025/

For abstract submissions, paste your abstract into the "Abstract" box. For paper submissions, paste the abstract of your paper to the "Abstract" box and upload your paper as a PDF file.
